Our WorkAs the leading inter-governmental organization promoting since 1951 humane and orderly migration, IOM plays a key role to support the achievement of the 2030 Agenda through different areas of intervention that connect both humanitarian assistance and sustainable development. Across the Middle East and North Africa region, IOM supports States in realizing their national priorities and in fulfilling their international commitments in the areas of migration, displacement and mobility.

Nobel Peace Laureate Nadia Murad Addresses Paris Signing Ceremony for a New Humanitarian Admission Programme
Paris – 2018 Nobel Peace Prize winner, Nadia Murad, attended a ceremony today marking the signing of an agreement between the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and France to provide safe passage to the country for vulnerable groups from Iraq. Initiated by Murad and French President Emmanuel Macron in October 2018, the agreement will help to provide protection and admission to France for to up to 100 Yazidi women and their families as part of a Humanitarian Admission Programme.
