Our WorkAs the leading inter-governmental organization promoting since 1951 humane and orderly migration, IOM plays a key role to support the achievement of the 2030 Agenda through different areas of intervention that connect both humanitarian assistance and sustainable development. Across the Middle East and North Africa region, IOM supports States in realizing their national priorities and in fulfilling their international commitments in the areas of migration, displacement and mobility.

The Regional Staff Welfare Office in Cairo
With its Global Mental Health Strategy, the International Organization for Migration seeks to create “an inclusive organizational culture and work environment that supports and facilitates the mental health of staff, such that they work collectively to achieve the aims, by the provision of preventative elements as well as appropriate support and care and access to specialist services.”

Coordination
The Staff Welfare Office aims to implement this strategy providing wellbeing services, such as for example trainings, self-care resources, individual counseling, psychoeducation, crisis intervention, psychological diagnostic and referral services, promotion of welfare activities, or staff wellbeing interventions in the workplace.
